Born in Venezuela, Jesus David Milano Melgarejo discovered music at a very young age in the well renowned El Sistema. His career as a classical musician has led him to perform in some of the most prestigious concert halls in USA and Europe such as the Carnegie Hall, Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, the Verizon Hall, Musikverein in Vienna, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Tonhalle Zurich, Tonhalle St. Gallen, Basel Casino, Yehudi Menuhin Forum Bern, Stadttheater Biel and Kongresshaus Biel under the direction of renowned conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Sir Simon Rattle, Paavo Järvi, Rafael Payare, Johannes Schlaefli, Yannis Pouspourikas, Christoph-Mathias Mueller… In 2024 Jesus David finished his Master's degree in Orchestra, playing as a volunteer at the Opernhaus Zurich, doing as well an internship at the Biel Solothurn Orchestra for the 2022/23 season and he is currently doing a Graduate Certificate in USC Thornton School of Music in Mtro. Yehuda Gilad studio. In 2022, he got an Advancement Award from The Marianne and Curt Dienemann Foundation in Luzern and as well he has participated in the Gstaad Menuhin Festival with the Sinfonie Orchester Biel Solothurn. In 2021 he finished his Bachelor of Music degree at the Zurich University of the Arts in Matthias Mueller studio. During this year he won the Second Prize at the Sava Dimitrov Competition in Bulgaria, Sofia 2021 as well as the First Prize at Selmer Clarinet Contest 2021 in Switzerland. Jesus David Milano Melgarejo is currently a member of the Venezuelan Clarinet Trio and are supported by Buffet Crampon and Vandoren France. During his career, Jesus David began to have master classes at a young age with well-known teachers such as Michel Arrignon, Yehuda Gilad, Paul Meyer, Aude Richard Camus, Luis Rossi, James Campbel, Jorge Montilla, among others. Jesus David started to learn the clarinet at the age of 7 and had his very first clarinet lessons with Samuel Aparicio, Daniela Toro and Antony Diaz; years later he became part of the Valdemar Rodriguez studio in Caracas, having lessons with professors such as Carlos Escalona, Carmen Borregales and Jorge Montilla.
