Yes. Through our side-by-side program, students from San Gabriel Valley public schools rehearse and perform onstage with our ensemble. We also provide 200+ free tickets per concert to local students and families, ensuring broad access to the arts.

Every contribution--big or small-- makes a meaningful impact by supporting our musicians, student initiatives, new music commissions, and free community concerts. Yes. We operate as a special initiative under Arts Bridging The Gap, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
The San Gabriel Valley Symphony is a professional orchestra founded in January 2025 and officially launched on May 19, 2025. We are a special initiative under Arts Bridging The Gap, a 501(c)(3) social impact organization. Our mission centers on community engagement, education, and civic purpose, with a focus on building a more inclusive and representative future for orchestral music.
Our programs feature a mix of classical masterworks, film and game scores, and new works by living composers. At every concert, we premiere a new piece by an emerging composer from the contemporary or film music world.
We are not just a concert organization—we are a social impact orchestra. Our mission is to redefine what a symphony orchestra looks like, sounds like, and stands for, far beyond the walls of a concert hall. We exist to empower the next generation and uplift communities through music that matters.
Our ensemble is made up of dedicated arts advocates and working musicians who believe music should serve people. Many are also educators, mentors, and organizers committed to using their craft to create meaningful change in the SGV.
