Jeff Gumpertz is a dynamic and versatile freelance hornist, arranger, and educator based in Southern California. A passionate performer and dedicated musician, Jeff holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from California State University, Fullerton (2019) and a Master’s Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (2021). In recognition of his outstanding musicianship and dedication to cultural outreach, Jeff was awarded the 2021 John Logan Brass Prize for music ambassadorship. His performance career has taken him to stages around the globe, where he has played with renowned ensembles including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. He is a founding member of the award winning Couch Quintet, a Los Angeles based woodwind quintet dedicated to accessibility to high quality classical music.
