An 8-time DownBeat award winner, Jackson Irvine has played with many accomplished jazz artists such as Bob Mintzer, The Yellowjackets, Jacob Mann, Bob Reynolds, Carl Allen, Clarence Penn, Jon Hatamiya, and more. In addition to performing as a sideman, Jackson focuses on leading his own bands, constantly writing new compositions and arrangements and performing in and around Los Angeles. His passion for music comes from its ability to empower and inspire individuals to form community with each other. Jackson believes that his way of giving back to music is by teaching, inspiring students to lift others up through art and community.
