
Brian Shih is an accomplished violinist from Bakersfield, California, having earned his Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at California State University, Long Beach in 2025, studying under Moni Simeonov. Brian has performed with ensembles including the American Youth Symphony, Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra, and regularly appears with the Bob Cole Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and University String Quartet. His summers have been dedicated to the Bakersfield International Music Festival and National Orchestral Institute + Festival. Brian was recently selected for the prestigious National Repertory Orchestra (NRO), where he looks forward to deepening his musicianship alongside peers and renowned conductors. Inspired from a young age by Nobuyuki Tsujii’s performance with the Bakersfield Symphony, Brian continues to pursue excellence, driven by his passion for classical music and violin artistry.
