The SGV Symphony invites you to a special Lunar New Year Celebration Concert on January 24, 2026, marking the beginning of the Lunar New Year season. This concert honors new beginnings and cultural heritage through a dynamic program that bridges tradition and innovation.

The evening opens with the lively Bartered Bride Overture, followed by Kevin Charoensri’s Rising Light, a contemporary work inspired by rich cultural themes. The program also features Ching-Shan Cheng’s arrangement of A Century of Taiwan Music, a festive celebration of Taiwan’s musical legacy.

A highlight of the first half is the Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto, a cherished Chinese romantic work lending Western symphonic style with traditional Chinese melodies, this piece tells a timeless tale of love and longing.
