Christopher Sterling is a double bassist and music educator from Orange County, California. He is a recent graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where he earned a dual degree in Double Bass Performance and Music Education. While at CSULB, he studied with Doug Basye of the Pacific Symphony. In addition to his work in classical music, Christopher regularly performs with jazz combos and salsa bands throughout Southern California. Passionate about both performing and teaching, he will continue his musical journey this fall as he begins a Master’s degree in Conducting.

Outside of music, Christopher enjoys hiking, exercising, cooking, and spending time with his pet bird, Bubba.
