Khaymin Westbrook is a highly proficient violist of African-German American heritage, hailing from Chandler, Arizona, with more than a decade of experience performing on stages across the American Southwest, both as a soloist, and as a valuable member of larger ensemble groups. Growing up, Westbrook spent 8 years in classical training, most of which were under the current Associate Concertmaster of the Shanghai Baroque Chamber Orchestra, Micah Ramchandani. After graduating high school with Regional, Honor, and Allstate accolades, he took his studies to the University of Southern California where he currently studies screenwriting at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, along with viola at the USC Thornton School of Music. Westbrook has since been welcomed by a variety of Californian ensembles, including the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, the RISE Film Scoring Orchestra, the USC Student Symphony Orchestra, and the Loyola Law School Orchestra. Alongside the San Gabriel Valley Symphony, Westbrook takes his craft to yet another new height, showcasing his regard for the San Gabriel Valley community as a disciplined musician who treats the culture, history, and repertoire with nothing less than an utmost respect. He hopes to continue his musicianship and artistry after graduating from USC.
