Los Angeles based trumpet Aric Kline leads an active career as a soloist, chamber musician, and freelance trumpet player. Aric has commissioned several works for solo trumpet, including an upcoming concerto for trumpet and orchestra, written by Grammy winning jazz musician, Arturo O’Farrill, as well as a sonata for trumpet and piano written by David Lefkowitz. Aric’s love for new music has been amplified through his place as a founding member of his brass quintet Sunset Brass, and 16 piece contemporary jazz band, Sicnarf. Aric can be heard in several student film soundtracks, and in the Orchestra Collective of Orange County. Aric has taken on the role of educator through his work teaching students privately, and the positions he holds with The Orchestra Place, The Turning Point School, and with Aimee Art Productions. When he isn’t playing or teaching the trumpet, Aric can be found cooking, watching movies, and exploring Los Angeles.
